PROTEIN ROTATION IN DIET

Protein rotation in raw feeding is the practice of switching protein sources types daily, every few days, or weekly.  I would recommend feeding your doh a minimum of 3 different protein sources (the more the better, think of having the same meal day after day after day) and here's why🤗👇

👉Rotating Proteins Provides Nutrient Balance: Different proteins offer different types and amounts of nutrients. No single protein source provides all the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids a dog requires, so by including different protein sources, you provide a more balanced, nutrient-rich diet‼️ For Example👉

🍗🐔CHICKEN has tryptophan, an amino acid that is responsible for raising serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is the “feel-good” neurochemical linked with mood. Dark and white meat chicken contains vitamin B12 and choline, which together may promote brain development in young pups, help the nervous system function properly and aid cognitive performance. Chicken is high in B complex vitamins, which play a vital role in energy production and the formation of healthy red blood cells. As well as Vitamin D that helps in calcium absorption and the formation of strong bones. Chicken livers contain Vitamin B2, commonly known as riboflavin, which drastically reduces skin problems while at the same time repairing damaged or dry skin. Finally chicken is rich in several other minerals like phosphorus, calcium and iron, they are essential in muscle activity, hemoglobin formation, preventing anemia and keeping bones in mint condition.

🐄 🍖BEEF is an excellent source of vitamins B12 and B6, Niacin, riboflavin (B2) and easy-to-absorb iron. As well a great source of Selenium, Zinc, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Copper and of course protein (amino acids)!

🐟🍣FISH is filled with omega-3 fatty acids these fats are important for maintaining brain health. As well as omega 6 and 9 that aid inflammation and healing. And vitamins such as D and B2 (riboflavin). Fish is rich in calcium and phosphorus and a great source of minerals, such as iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, selenium and potassium. Eating fish skin may also improve skin health. Fish skin is a good source of collagen and vitamin E, both of which contribute to healthy skin.

👉Rotating Proteins Can Help Create Healthier Digestive Systems: Your dog's GI tract needs good bacteria to help with the digestion process. Having little variety can limit the different types of beneficial bacteria. By varying their diet with rotational feeding, your dog's digestive tract can become stronger, making it easier for them to break down new proteins, leading to less upset stomachs.

👉Rotating Proteins from Early Age Helps to Avoid Allergies: Research has shown that prolonged feeding of the same food over time can actually cause sensitivities or allergies with symptoms including itching, stomach upset, hot spots etc. By rotating proteins, you reduce the chance of building sensitivities to a given protein and you'll help to strengthen your dog's immune system.

👉Rotating Proteins Keeps Things Interesting: Some dogs can be very picky eaters or can get bored of eating the same meal every day, changing up proteins keeps things fun for your dog.
